5 HP Solar Water Pump

Location: North Bengal
Capacity: 5 HP
Department: NBDD
Purpose: Drinking Water Purpose

Overview

The 5HP Solar Water Pump located in North Bengal is a blessing to the people living in the surrounding areas. The solar pumping system has provided drinking water to many, have quenched their thirst and have made their living easier by so. In these areas where finding proper water to drink by the people would otherwise have been a tedious task, it has been successfully accomplished by the solar water pump of SunShell Power with the help of solar energy.

Technical Details

The most important technical system in this pump is the presence of a dual operating pump system. The two ways of operating the pump system are through solar and grid method. This has helped in a way that even without the presence of solar energy also the water pump system will work with equal efficiency. The separate AC -DC multilayer protection is an added feature provided by SunShell Power in their water pumping systems which makes it one of the most remarkable amongst the solar pump companies in India.

Benefits

An IP 54 enclosure is a hallmark of SunShell Power’s water pumping system. This helps in maintaining the safety of the users and there remain no requirements for opening the pump controlling box. It has a solar remote monitoring system that is highly efficient and user friendly. This is an added plus point about the products developed by SunShell. It reduces pollution to the next level and is a very environment-friendly option to be availed.

Advantage

An added advantage of SunShell Power over other water pump companies in India that uses solar power is that it has phase changing switches. This does not allow AC and DC current transmission simultaneously.  Hence, it saves the pump controller and solar panel from getting burnt.

7.5 HP Solar Water Pumping System With Dual Axis Tracker & Sprinkler
SunShell powers integrated the 7.5 HP solar water pumping system in the Chitmahal area in the Coochbihar district. This system aims to lift water from the nearby river and distribute it to the 8 hectares of land through sprinklers. This project was a first of its kind and was closely monitored by the Chief Minister’s office. The whole structure used 24 numbers of 72 Cells 325Wp Poly-Crystalline Solar Panels with a dual-axis tracker, operated manually by a single person. The dual-axis tracker helps track the sun’s changing positions due to the earth’s rotation and revolution movements and, in turn, helps capture the maximum amount of sun’s energy to be used for the system. One axis is azimuth, which allows the solar panel to move left and right. The other axis is elevation and allows the panel to turn up and down.

6.6 KWp On-Grid Domestic Rooftop Solar PV Power Plant: First Domestic project under CESC
Dr. Rajen Kumar Pandey, a renowned doctor and renewable energy enthusiast were the first to introduce a domestic net metering system for his residential solar rooftop power plant under CESC. Net metering is a billing mechanism that credits solar energy system owners for the electricity they add to the grid. If a home is net-metered, the electricity meter will run backward to provide a credit against what electricity is consumed at night or other periods when the home's electricity use exceeds the system's output.
